This little purple and gold quilt measures 35 x 41 – a nice snuggle-size for a child. It will be going to Whitehorse with me in the fall to be delivered to my social work contact at Family & Children’s Services.
I sewed it together out of donated blocks, and then my friend Ann did the hand tying last September. The binding was finally put on last week.
Ideally I’ll have a good handful of these little Because You Matter snuggle quilts ready to go for our trip back next September.

Oh I love the mustards with the raspberry tones and then the white pop of the star!!! (Your cinn. cake must have made made me hungry…as I’m describing your colors using food! LOL!!)
Such a happy little quilt – I like the space at the bottom. It makes me think of a sun just set, with stars coming out in the sky above it.
P.S. Magic for Marigold is a favourite of mine too! 🙂 And for sheer over the top romance you can’t beat The Blue Castle.
Great quilt Nita! Love the colours!
What a beautiful quilt and wonderful charity! I love the thought of this going to a child in need.
Great quilt, great cause. Some little one is going to be warm and smiling.
